It’s an unwritten, slightly flexible rule of thumb here at MARLA AND SHANE PHOTOGRAPHERS, that I shoot at the beach as much as possible. I love the beach. I have tons of fun with families and kids when I’m shooting at the beach… but my happiness is not the reason for the “unwritten rule”. It seems there’s just something about sweat, sea-soaked clothes and sand filled pants that doesn’t sit well with Marla. Oh sure, she’s cool with the occasional session at the beach, but it’s just the day in day out beach “wear and tear” she tries to avoid as much as possible (which becomes nearly impossible during the summer months). I say all that to say this… it’s really nice to do something different every now and then. That’s why I was so happy when Symmone informed me that she really wanted to do a session at Eden. New light, new textures… great new things to climb, hang from and jump off of!!! Everyone needs a little change every once in a while.

It’s fun, it’s fresh, and sometimes it reminds us how great we really have it the rest of the time! S
